Today's Outing
Thursday, June 29, 2006
With the pool closed, we've kept pretty close to home this week. But I've been a tired, crabby pregnant woman, so I didn't mind to much. I got a call from my mom this morning asking if she could take us to Birchwood Dairy this afternoon. Ummm, sure!!! So we headed there around 1. MMmmm, not just yummy icecream and gelato, but someone else happy to entertain the boys:) It was a great afternoon. Thanks mom!

What's New?
Tuesday, June 27, 2006
I guess it's time for an update. Nothing new to report. It is a hot week and I'm feeling every bit of it. On Saturday we set up the Costco pool that Les & Bev (Tom's sister and brother in-law who we live with) bought at the end of last summer. Tom and I bought all the chemicals we need to keep it clean for the summer and we also picked up our portable a/c unit that we've been storing at my parents. So, now we're set for the summer. I usually try and do what I need to in the morning and the afternoons are spent around the pool and then we come in and crash on the couch. Then Tom usually takes the boys out for another swim after dinner to cool off before bed. Other than that, there's not much new. This afternoon the boys have swimming lessons and then I have my 2 week checkup.
Here's some pics of what the boys have been up to.

Look Grammy, Colton printed his name all by himself

Keeping cool

Colton got a bug bite at the corner of his eye yesterday and it's been red/purple and swollen ever since. Ouch!

All Clear?

Yeah 30 weeks today! I love celebrating the big numbers. The boys and I went to the doctor's today to see how Baby Boo (Colton's name for the baby) is doing. We are waiting for my last ultrasound in 2 weeks to know what to expect for delivery. My doctor figures though that it will be a natural birth (no C-sections), so that is the good news. I've been preparing myself for the possibility of a c-section. Until now the baby has been breech, but the ultrasound today showed that it has been those little feet kicking me in the ribs. I've been feeling like this baby is Big and have a hard time believing that I have 10 weeks to go yet. So, I asked the doctor today how I was measuring and he said that I am measuring a little large. Might be my first big baby :( I guess if this baby does decide to come early, that extra weight is good.

My Secret
Friday, June 09, 2006
I have a bit of a secret. I love to learn new hobbies. Over the years I have taught myself a variety of different things. So after a discussion with some girls from care group about how difficult it was to find baby hair bows, I thought I’d try my hand at making them. So, here are a few of my creations from this week. I thought they'd make great baby gifts or maybe even try selling them.

For those of you asking to see pictures of my new doo... these are for you.

I wish I had some new news to share, but life is a little boring at the moment. The boys started their 3rd set of swimming lessons today. This will be the last set of lessons for them before the baby comes. I figure with it being summer, they can swim in the backyard and then we'll start lessons up again in November. Colton passed his last level (to my surprise) and Noah is taking the first level again for the 3rd time. But as long as they are having fun and learning something, it doesn't matter to me if they pass, especially Noah. Other than that, life is normal. Baby is kicking a lot! And the morning sickness is creeping back:( I've been surprised so far that my body temp. hasn't changed, that is until now; just in time for summer. LOVELY! I think I'll send Tom over to my parents this week to pick up our portable AC unit.

I guess that's all for now.
