Hard Decisions
Monday, February 20, 2006
I guess it's my turn to update my blog. I like the excuse of pictures and that way I don't have to write too much :) Potty training is going surprisingly well considering the fact that I'm not doing anything. Colton reminds Noah throughout the day that it's potty time and he goes.

As many of you know, we've been exploring career opportunities for Tom. He was sort of planning on going into plumbing. This would mean a 60% wage cut for the next 4 years for us, but we're in a position to make it work. He has received a few extremely good job offers in the meantime and so it all came down to decision time last week. He has finally decided to take another mill job in Burnaby. This job is much easier on the body than his last one and the pay is even better. A few guys from his last mill are also going to be working there, so he knows a few people he will be working with and has already organized car-pooling. So, he will be starting on April 3rd.

It's nice to have settled on something and not be wondering what the next few years will be like in a basement with 3 little ones. We still plan on staying here for 2 years and hopefully move on to our own house after that. We've also talked about me doing hair when we have our own place and I'm excited about the possibilities there. It's exciting to be able to plan ahead and hopefully settle down in a neighborhood before Colton starts kindergarten. We've dragged these boys around for a while and I think it's time to plant some roots.

Is it possible for an almost 4 year old to potty train a 2 1/2 year old? We'll let you know. Maybe we can hire Colton out after this :)

Our News!
Wednesday, February 01, 2006
Alright, my cousin Rachel thought I should share why exactly I've been feeling the way I am. So, for those of you that like things spelt out for you, We are happy to share with you that we are expecting our third child in August. After a few miscarriages this past year, it looks like everything is fine with this pregnancy and we will get to hold our new baby in 6 months.

Humpday
I know it's been awhile, again. Truth is, I've been sicker than a dog for the last 5 weeks. My days have been spent flat out on the couch with a bucket and NO energy. I am sooooo thankful that Tom has been home. God definately planned this one out perfectly. I have been sleeping every day until around 11am, which would not be possible if Tom was working. The house is definately showing the neglect. I did manage to completely organize and clean the boys' room today though. Now they can play in their room again.

Yesterday Tom and I went to Bell and signed up for a new phone plan. We've decided that we can still have the benefits and security of cell phones without having an extra bill. So, we are cancelling our home phone on Monday and we each have our own cell now. I will be sending out our numbers by email, if I miss you please let me know.

I also wanted to welcome our friends Russ and Jolene and their cute litte baby to blogging. I've added their link to my blog buddies. Hopefully we can get a few more from our bible study group to blog.
